I have been diagnosed with CRPS (13 years) and Dystonia.
Favorite motivation song is Fight Song [by Rachel Platten] and Shake it off by Taylor Swift
My favorite movie is Hairspray. (I love musicals!)
My favorite book is All Souls by Michael MacDonald.
My favorite quote is "Losing is NOT an option".
I love to be crafty! I love to knit, spend time with friends, and I have an obsession with my dog that were in the middle of training him as an emotional support animal.
Three interesting facts: I never learned how to ride a bike, I'm petrified of cats, and I am one year away from finishing my masters.
I was diagnosed at the age of 11 and I was running and my ankle twisted all the way in. When I told the gym teacher, he wouldn't believe me and made me keep going. (Gonna give you the shortened version). I have tried every medication, nerve block, I have two spinal cord stimulators, and have had to do ketamine infusions. About a year ago I noticed I was having muscle spasms and my toes and foot was curling as well I told my doctor who diagnosed me with Dystonia and I ended up being in the hospital for over 3 months because the spasms in my feet are so severe my toes are touching the back of my foot and it looks like I have no toes the left foot is much worse than the right.
Toughest part of having these illnesses is I can't drive right now or do the average things a 24 year old should be doing. Another tough part was I had to take a year off of my masters program and I was suppose to graduate this year so that has been very hard.
My biggest supporters are my dad, my brother, boyfriend, and my close friends who understand
My biggest accomplishment is I graduated undergraduate school and I am one year away from finishing my masters.
The most positive part of having these illnesses is I want to give back and help others
I am no different than anyone else. I may live in chronic pain but I will live my life to the fullest!
Thank you for your wise words and contribution Tracy!
