New Years Resolutions... Everyone makes them, but no one ever sticks to them beyond a month. Sometimes, it doesn't even last that long. These resolutions are often too ambitious without short term goals. That is why I have decided to make a short list of flexible goals, rather than rigid "finish line" style resolutions.
My New Years Goals:
Continue working towards my goals in the Presidential Champions Program
Maintain physical fitness through regular physical activity
Nail down a diagnosis and treatment for my undiagnosed neuromuscular disease
Live each day to the fullest
Laugh every day
As you can see, my goals are fairly simple and things that I would want to strive to do anyway. That makes these goals easier to follow. There really is no endpoint for these goals, so I am striving to improve myself physically, mentally, and emotionally. In addition, I hope that 2016 will be the year of THE diagnosis for my neuromuscular disease (suspected stiff person syndrome). So that's it! Short and sweet!
See you in 2016, Ninjas!
I am a 20 year old junior at the college of my dreams. I am studying Emergency Medicine and Communication Rhetoric and minoring in the Administration of Justice and National Preparedness and Emergency Management certificate. At some point, I want to go and get my paramedic certification when my health allows. I have several chronic illnesses and this blog and website serves as a place for me to share my journey fighting CRPS and my other conditions. I hope that this blog can also serve as an outlet for raising awareness for rare diseases. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy! Feel free to comment; I'd love to know what you think!
